Welcome to YPGN's official web site. For
thousands of years, people lived off the land.
In the agricultural economy, a farmer, a herd of
life-stock and a few good acres were all that
mattered. Those who controlled the land and the
labor controlled the wealth. In the industrial
economy, land's contribution to the creation of wealth
was surpassed by a new engine - capital. Capital
to build factories, to purchase equipment, to invest
in research and development. This was the
economy of the 20th century. We have now entered
the new knowledge economy, where wealth is created not
with machines or bricks, but with intellect.
Today, knowledge creates value and those who can most
effectively leverage knowledge are successful in the
new economy.
YPGN prides itself in
establishing a personal business network consisting of
over 1,000 members who
are now living and working in 70 countries and in
almost every state in the United States. With a very strong foundation of
young and motivated business leaders, we have truly formed a
Global Network
for our members to leverage knowledge and personal
business relationships in every part of the world.
Developments for YPGN during
1998-2005:
Developed close affiliations with the Los Angeles World Affairs Council
(LAWAC), the Los
Angeles Venture Association (LAVA),
Larta (formerly
known as the Los Angeles Regional Technology
Alliance) as well
as a dozen other prominent business organizations.
Organized and promoted at least one social and one professional networking
event per month.
Hosted over 100 students and recent graduates from
33
colleges in Malibu for YPGN's 1st annual
Success 101 Business
Academy; planning to host 250 students and
recent alumni at the June 2005 Academy.
Membership grew to over 1,000 alumni and students from
70 countries.
More than half our members secured internships and
jobs from our network. See
Success Stories.
Organized
two prestigious speeches/dinners with the Los
Angeles World Affairs Council:
* On January
27th, 2000, we hosted Mr.
Jehangir Karamat, Retired General and
Chief of Pakistani Army Staff (in association
with Shezad Rokerya, Chairman of The Interlink
Company), and
* On November
15th, 2001, we hosted His
Majesty, Reza Pahlavi, son of former
Iranian Shah (in association with Pepperdine's
Davenport
Institute of Public Policy).
Became an integral part at the 2001, 2002, and
2003 "International
Day of the Child," an annual charity
event that brings awareness about America's
500,000 foster kids (31,000 in the
Los Angeles area). The event is organized by Children
Uniting Nations, a children's rights
non-profit, which raises over $1,000,000 each
year and pairs over 3,000 foster kids from L.A. with a
mentor for day of fun. Pierce Brosnan, Stevie Wonder,
Jane Seymour and David Hasselhoff, among many
other celebrities contribute each year to the success
of the event. Over 100 YPGN members participate
each year as mentors and
volunteers during this day of joy and
celebration.
Sponsored industry conferences such as the 2001
- 2005
Investment Capital Conference, the 2002
World Capital Forum (in Nanjing, China) and
Larta's 2003 China
Compass Conference.
I would
personally like to take this opportunity to express
my gratitude to our mentors, advisors and corporate
sponsors for their valuable
support and guidance. To our members, goes a special "Thank you" for getting involved; without your interest and participation, there would be no network for so many to benefit from.
Our main endeavor is to continue maximizing the development and utilization
of our inherent potential and
to become better citizens of the world. I invite you to browse our web site to learn more
about YPGN. Thank you for visiting and feel free to
reach me directly if your interested to learn more
about our network.
