"After moving to San Francisco from Los Angeles and job hunting for almost 4 months, I joined YPGN (even though I knew about it for almost one year) and started networking with some of the members. Given my background in communication/PR and my master's degree in Communication from Pepperdine, YPGN sent my resume directly to the recruiting executive at Hewlett Packard for a position that just opened with the VP of Branding and Communication. This position was never going to be posted to the outside world and the HR office was only looking internally, but due to YPGN's internal connections, I was introduced at the right level and at the right time. After three interviews and two weeks later, I got the job and became a part of the HP family. One of my responsibilities now is to give back and help other YPGN members interested in opportunities at HP. I still can't believe how fast things happened and how much YPGN's members were willing to help when I needed a job."

"Working at Citigroup as a Financial Advisor is my dream job. When I graduated from college three years ago I was fortunate to go on a number of informational interviews with YPGN members working in the financial industry who mentored me and steered me in the right direction. Not only was I offered advice, but YPGN's senior members set up an interviews for me. One of these interviews landed me an entry-level position at UBS PaineWebber from which I then moved to Morgan Stanley and then after two years moved to Citigroup.
